Q. What makes this workbook different from others?
A. It is written by a practicing mental health clinician and not someone with a background in theology. As a clinician is always concerned with the health and well-being of his client, this workbook is written with the best interests of the individual, not an institution, in mind.
Q. How can you write this if you have no training in Theology?
A. I am not attempting to teach, debate or challenge theological issues. Seek And Ye Shall Find is more about spiritual and personal growth than it is about religion.
Q. Is Seek And Ye Shall Find effective for everyone?
A. Yes, the material is written to be beneficial to a wide range of personalities and situations.
Q. You are a Roman Catholic. Is Seek And Ye Shall Find written only for Roman Catholics?
A. Not at all. Anybody who values the New Testament teachings of Jesus will enjoy the benefits of this workbook.
Q. Isn’t the concept of grace rather obscure?
A. It is! That is why I felt drawn to write this workbook. It contains a lot of valuable information that may otherwise escape most people.
Q. Doesn’t writing a book like this amount to telling people what to believe?
A. Not at all; people are entitled to believe whatever they wish. I’m just trying to raise some points that may be worthwhile and profitable for them to consider.
Q. Doesn’t grace just come to us randomly, like dumb luck?
A. Yes and no. While it is always there around us, many people may fail to recognize it; even fewer are aware of how to promote grace in their lives. These are two of the main themes contained in the workbook.
Q. How does this workbook work?
A. The workbook consists of four sections: the text, Jesus’s own parables and my own illustrative fictional narratives, questions to ponder and supplemental readings. The text provides the information while the parables and narratives illustrate and augment the text. The food-for-thought sections and supplemental readings reinforce critical take-away points.
Q. From where are the course materials drawn?
A. From two sources: the New Testament and my own thirty years of clinical experience.
Q. What qualifications do you hold for writing this workbook?
A. I have a Master’s Degree in counseling, am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and have over thirty years of successful clinical experience.
